David Jerome is an inventor, gemstone collector, and
designer known for his vibrant contributions to the world of hairdressing and
jewellery. As a former hairdresser, he invented the iconic colour and glitter
hairspray that became a trend during the 80s and 90s.

His journey into the world of gemstones began 45 years ago,
driven by a deep passion for colour. Over the years, David has cultivated an
extraordinary private collection featuring some of the finest coloured gemstones
available.

The catalyst for his jewellery venture was the passing of
his beloved father. At the tender age of 5, David learned about business and
trade while working at his father’s market stall in the East End of London,
where he polished apples and sold fresh fruits. His father later transitioned
to selling ladies' hats, attracting an elegant clientele, some of whom would
sell fine jewellery to him. His father prudently stored these jewels for a
rainy day, which, fortunately, never arrived.

Years later, after losing his father, David discovered boxes
filled with the sparkling treasures from his childhood, which ignited a passion
for collecting and building a remarkable collection of coloured gemstones that
continues to this day.

As his fascination grew, David travelled the globe, sourcing
the highest quality, clarity, and rarest gemstones directly from conflict-free
mines in locations like Burma, Colombia, and Tanzania. The culmination of his
efforts saw his collection expand to over 3000 individual pieces, showcasing
the finest coloured gemstones.

Ten years ago, at the age of 70, David began transforming
his treasure trove of gemstones into exquisite fine jewellery pieces at the
encouragement of his wife. With every gemstone, he designed unique,
one-of-a-kind pieces, meticulously sketching his creations in a treasured
design book that details each gemstone, the corresponding design and collection
number.

Inspired by the notion of heirloom pieces, David aimed to
craft jewellery that could be passed down through generations.

The David Jerome Collection was established in 2015,
featuring predominantly rings made from exceptional gemstones, including
Colombian Emeralds, Burmese Rubies, various Sapphires, and more, embellished
with VS diamonds and set in 18K Gold or Platinum. Each piece in the collection
is singular and accompanied by gemmological certificates, underscoring the
rarity and natural essence of the gemstones.

The David Jerome Collection is sold to private clients and via
select auction houses, including Sotheby’s.
